Today I share with you all some big news: after a lot of meditation, contemplation, reflection, and ceremonies, I decided not to take the ayahuasca retreat facilitator position here in the jungle.

My reasons are many, and I'm sure I will go into more details later on, but for now I will just say that despite is job being everything I've wanted and been working towards for the past two years since I began my journey with plant medicines, it just didn't feel right. Despite looking like the absolutely perfect opportunity from the outside, I had to be honest with myself that the opportunity didn't feel right in my body, in my mind, or in my heart.

So, with a bit of a heavy heart this morning, I leave the jungles of Iquitos-- my home for the last four months-- to head to Pucallpa to do a 10 day master plant diet and work with a new shaman before I head back to the States in less than two weeks.

I'll be staying with friends and family for a bit as I process my experiences and integrate back into the western way of life. I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently to connect with me to hear about my time here, and I kindly ask that you continue waiting until I'm ready to start speaking openly about this whole journey.

I have no idea what the future holds for me from here, but if there's one thing I've learn from the medicine path it's that all will be provided and I'll know what I need to know when I need to know it.
