The Lyme Journey

HOW IT ALL BEGAN:

As far back as I can remember (from at least five years old) I experienced severe muscle cramps, migraines, weird skin rashes, low energy, brain fog, anxiety, and insomnia.

When I was 13, I began competitive cheerleading.  During this time, my mom began to notice that I wasn't able to keep up with the other girls on the team.  I would have severe abdominal cramping during practice and was always extremely fatigued.  During competition weekends, I would do my best to find a quiet corner to curl up with a pillow and heating pad, trying to save my energy for practice and the actual competition.  It was at this point that my mom realized there must be something really wrong.  So we began the search for an answer.

The Magic of Surrender

The Magic of Surrender

Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, you are choosing to be exactly where you are right now. If the pain of where you are were to become great enough, you would move, physically or emotionally.  But oftentimes we're afraid to step outside of our comfort zone, no matter how uncomfortable, because it's our "known hell."  The certainty of the known is typically seemingly less scary than the uncertainty of entering into the unknown.

I get that.  I too lived there for a long time.  And then one day, I chose to do something different.
